BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Circa 350-300 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 23 mm, 7.84 g, 3 h). Eagle with spread wings standing left on olive branch. Rev. KPO Tripod with ornamental volutes below the bowl and legs ending in lion's paws; to right, heron standing left on Δ. HGC 1, 1464. HN Italy 2174. SNG ANS 367-8. Beautifully toned and well centered for the issue. Very minor deposits and with a light graffito of 'API' on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
